A group of students from Figtree High School recently spent three days at ITeC Academy getting hands-on with our Trades Training Program. During the workshop, the students built a full shed framework from scratch: planning, measuring, cutting timber, and constructing the base, walls, doors, windows, and roofing.
Programs like this give students the chance to step into the world of trades, build real skills, and discover what it takes to work in construction and other trade areas. Designed for secondary school students, community groups, and disengaged youth, our Trades Training Program offers 1, 2 or 3-day workshops that are practical, engaging, and taught by qualified industry professionals.
This is what alternative community training should look like, hands-on, purposeful and inspiring.
