ITeC Academy’s Disability Support Kickstart Program is the perfect starting point to launch or enhance your career in disability support. This practical, hands-on training includes essential units designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the sector:

  • CHCDIS020 – Work Effectively in Disability Support: Learn to provide high-quality support, promote inclusion, and build empowering relationships with clients.
  • CHCCOM005 – Communicate and Work in Health or Community Services: Master communication techniques to work collaboratively and effectively in diverse environments.
  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid: Equip yourself with life-saving first aid skills that can be applied in any emergency situation.

Upon successfully completing ITeC Academy’s Disability Skill Set, graduates can pursue a range of rewarding career outcomes, including:

Disability Support Worker – Provide personalised care and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them live more independent and fulfilling lives.

Community Support Worker – Assist individuals in accessing community resources, social services, and activities, promoting inclusion and engagement.

Personal Care Assistant – Support individuals with daily living tasks, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort.

      Entry Requirements

      • Basic internet knowledge and ready access to the internet.
      • Able to use a computer and have basic digital literacy skills.
      • Reading and writing skills to answer assessment questions.
      • Be able to meet the physical requirements of the job tasks.
      • Preferably has own computer/device compatible to course requirements.
