Whether you need a CPR refresher course, are updating your first aid certificate, or starting your journey in aid training qualifications, this course provides the knowledge and practical skills to deliver life-saving interventions in critical situations.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Course – Be Ready to Save a Life

The HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary course focuses on equipping participants with the capability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in line with guidelines. CPR is a vital part of the emergency first aid response, especially in incidents involving cardiac arrest, drowning, or other life-threatening emergencies.

You will gain hands-on training in:

  • Recognising emergency situations and initiating a first aid response

  • Conducting a primary assessment of the casualty

  • Performing CPR

  • Using an automated external defibrillator (AED)

  • Applying personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Understanding legal and workplace requirements in a care setting

  • Post-resuscitation care and reporting procedures

First Aid Course with Face to Face Training for Practical Confidence

Our CPR course is delivered as face to face training, offering you the chance to build your confidence through real-time instruction and supervised practical demonstration. With a qualified first aid trainer, you’ll practise life-saving techniques in a supportive, hands-on environment using industry-standard equipment.

Unlike online first aid courses or non-accredited courses, ITeC Academy’s training is nationally recognised training, meaning you’ll receive a valid CPR certificate upon successful completion that meets workplace compliance requirements.

CPR Refresher Course – Keep Your CPR Qualification Current

The HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation unit is the required CPR refresher for anyone needing to renew their CPR certification. The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends refreshing CPR skills every 12 months to ensure you’re ready and confident in a real emergency.

Whether this is part of your broader HLTAID011 Provide First Aid training or a standalone refresher, staying current with a CPR qualification ensures your aid training remains compliant and effective.

  • Completion of a multiple-choice knowledge assessment

Important: As part of the assessment requirements, you will need to kneel on the floor for 2 uninterrupted minutes to perform CPR on a manikin. Please ensure you are physically capable of completing this task before enrolling.
