Throughout the qualification you will learn to:

On the successful completion of all course requirements, you will gain:

• A nationally recognised qualification: CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).
• A first Aid Certificate: HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid.

CHCAGE007 – Recognise and report risk of falls.
CHCCCS036 – Support relationships with carer and family.

You will be assessed a number of ways. These methods may include:

• Written questions
• Role-plays
• Observation in the classroom in a simulated environment
• Observation in the workplace

• Basic internet knowledge and reliable internet connection.
• Able to use a computer and have basic computer skills and digital literacy skills.
• Reading and writing skills to answer assessment questions.
• Be able to meet the physical requirements of the job tasks e.g. make beds, stand for extended periods.
• Provide evidence police check and vaccination status (including current fluvax) prior to work placement.
• Preferably has own computer/device compatible to course requirements.
*For self-directed learning pathway students must be existing workers in the aged care/health sector.
