Cert III Individual Support

Start your journey toward a meaningful career in aged care with the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) at ITeC Academy, a registered training organisation dedicated to helping people launch and grow in careers that matter.

This Certificate III level qualification is the industry standard for those beginning or advancing their career in aged care. You’ll learn to provide person-centred support to older people, whether in a client’s home, aged care facility, or community setting. This course is an accessible first step into the health or community services sector.

Ongoing Skills Development

    Assessments

    You will be assessed a number of ways. These methods may include:

    • Written questions
    • Role-plays
    • Observation in the classroom in a simulated environment
    • Observation in the workplace
    Entry Requirements

    • Basic internet knowledge and reliable internet connection.
    • Able to use a computer and have basic computer skills and digital literacy skills.
    • Reading and writing skills to answer assessment questions.
    • Be able to meet the physical requirements of the job tasks e.g. make beds, stand for extended periods.
    • Provide evidence police check and vaccination status (including current fluvax) prior to work placement.
    • Preferably has own computer/device compatible to course requirements.
    *For self-directed learning pathway students must be existing workers in the aged care/health sector.
