Course Structure
The Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) course is structured to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the disability support industry. The course consists of core units and specialty units that cover topics such as communication, teamwork, and individual support. Students will learn how to follow established person-centred practices and work with people with disabilities to support their social and emotional needs. Our course is designed to be flexible, with online learning options available to suit students’ needs. The course duration is up to 1 year, and students can choose to study part-time or full-time.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completing the Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) course, students will be able to provide support to clients with disabilities, including those with complex needs. Students will learn how to assess and respond to the needs of clients, and develop individualised plans to support their goals and aspirations. Our course will equip students with the skills and knowledge required to work in a range of settings, including peoples’ homes, residential care facilities, and community organisations. Students will also learn about the importance of work health and safety, and how to maintain a healthy and safe work environment.

The Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) course is delivered through a combination of online and face-to-face training. Students will participate in interactive online sessions, as well as practical training sessions on campus. Our experienced trainers will provide students with the support and guidance they need to succeed, and our small team of trainers will ensure that students receive personalised attention and feedback. The course is designed to be flexible, with students able to choose from a range of delivery options to suit their needs.

Hands-On Training and Practical Experience in Community Services

You will be assessed a number of ways. These methods may include:

- Observation in the classroom in a simulated environment

Entry Requirements
• Basic internet knowledge and ready access to the internet.
• Able to use a computer and have basic digital literacy skills.
• Reading and writing skills to answer assessment questions.
• Be able to meet the physical requirements of the job tasks.
• Provide evidence of granted NDIS worker check prior to work-placement.
• Preferably has own computer/device compatible to course requirements.
