ITeC Academy recently delivered a two day leadership workshop for 14 team members from Greenacres Disability Services in Wollongong and the results are already making an impact.
The training came highly recommended, with Greenacres sending additional staff after five supervisors who previously attended returned raving about the experience.
Delivered by ITeC Academy trainer Kate Perry, the workshop combined nationally recognised units focused on leading difficult conversations and managing effective workplace relationships. The sessions were practical, interactive and tailored to real workplace scenarios, giving participants tools they could immediately apply.
The workshop strengthened leadership capability across the team, equipping staff with clear frameworks to lead with greater confidence, consistency and accountability. Participants also developed stronger communication skills and a deeper understanding of leadership styles, supporting more effective teamwork and stronger working relationships.
Importantly, the training reinforced alignment with Greenacres’ organisational goals and values. Leaders gained practical strategies to manage performance, address challenges early and handle conversations constructively, leading to better outcomes for both staff and the organisation.
The two day format also allowed time for reflection and peer discussion, helping participants return to the workplace more engaged, resilient and prepared to lead through change.
