Combat Aged Care Workforce Shortages
with Our Proven Training Solution
Address Workforce Shortages with Our Proven Aged Care Training Program
Facing critical workforce shortages in Residential Aged Care and Home Care?
Our innovative program, delivered in partnership with Groworx and ITeC Academy, offers a reliable solution to meet your staffing needs. This initiative has successfully mitigated the workforce challenges experienced by the IRT Group in recent years, earning widespread acclaim from residents, families, and colleagues by bringing in 154 new staff members through this program.
Centered around training suitable, English-speaking candidates from the Philippines in the CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support, our program consistently delivers well-trained, compassionate, and capable employees who quickly become independent on shift. With their well-developed skills and caring nature, these employees have significantly improved care outcomes for aged care providers and residents, proving the effectiveness of our approach. These individuals are eager to live and work in Australia and have demonstrated exceptional dedication and loyalty as employees.
How We Make It Happen
Our training program is both rigorous and comprehensive. We start with 14 weeks of virtual training, conducted in groups of 25, where students based in the Philippines receive instruction from our expert Australian trainers. Practical skills are honed in a simulated environment, ensuring that students are well-prepared for real-world care scenarios. During this phase, students complete all knowledge-based assessments.
Upon arrival in Australia, participants engage in classroom-based activities and assessments, including First Aid, handwashing, communication role plays, and manual handling. The program culminates in a minimum of 120 hours of work placement within a residential aged care and/or home care environment, where students apply their skills under the observation of an approved RTO Assessor.
